近畿大学英語村E³[e-cube] 一般公開

まもなく近畿大学英語村の一般公開の時期がやってまいりました。

近畿大学英語村は普段近畿大学生と教職員またはその同伴者のみの利用ですが、早春期間と夏休みの期間は一般の方々へも公開しています。
高校生以上ならどなたでも利用できるこの英語村は、一般公開中10代から80代まで幅広い年齢層の方々とお茶でも飲みながら英語で“チャット”（世間話）を楽しんだり、毎日テーマに沿った“アクティビティー”(文化教室)に参加したりと使い方は皆さんそれぞれ！！

今回のアクティビティーテーマは
月曜日：九州＆沖縄
火曜日：ポップカルチャー＆テクノロジー
水曜日：旅行
木曜日：アート&クラフト
金曜日：料理

このアクティビティーは毎日午後1時から開催しており参加費はもちろん無料！！
みなさまのお越しをお待ちしています。

Christmas Charity Dinner

Hello all

On December 14th we had our annual Christmas Charity Dinner.
Here in E3 we all enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner of delicious turkey, ham, egg nog, Christmas cake and so on. About 200 lucky Kinki university students, staff and teachers all enjoyed delicious and authentic Christmas food together.

This Christmas Charity Dinner was free but we asked all who attended to donate some money to UNICEF for people who are suffering from poverty and disease. This year we could raise 78,845yen. We appreciate your warm support.

12月の英語村

みなさんこんにちは。

早いもので今週から12月に入ります。英語村はクリスマス一色にデコレーションされます。
アクティビティーやイベントもクリスマスをテーマに行います。

12月のイベントは、クリスマスチャリティーアートマーケットとクリスマスディナーです。
アートマーケットとは、近畿大学の学生の手作りの作品を鑑賞したり買ったりできるフリーマーケットのような2日間限定のイベントです。女子学生に人気の雑貨やアクセサリー、ガラス製品のコップやセラミックのお皿、写真、絵はがき等、多彩なアート作品をお楽しみいただけます。

14日水曜日に開催される毎年恒例のクリスマスディナーは、200名限定で本場欧米のクリスマスフードと雰囲気をお楽しみいただけます。今週の12月1日木曜日午前10時からチケットの予約を受け付けます。毎年人気のイベントですのでお早目のご予約お待ちしております。
また欧米では、クリスマスはチャリティー精神について学ぶ時期でもあります。UNICEFコーナーもありますので、本場欧米式の“クリスマスチャリティーディナー”を一緒に楽しみましょう。

December is already upon us. This means e-cube will bring the Christmas spirit to Kindai with Christmas themed activities and events! December’s events include the annual Christmas Charity Art Market and Christmas Dinner.

The Art Market is a 2 day flea market consisting of handmade artworks done by Kinki University students. Please stop by to look at and, if you like, buy some works of art! You can enjoy various everyday items, accessories, glass cups, ceramic dishes, photography, postcards and more!

This year’s annual Christmas Dinner will be held on December 14th (Wednesday).
200 lucky people will get the chance to experience the atmosphere of a Western Christmas while eating an authentic Christmas meal. We will start taking reservations at 10:00am on December 1st (Thursday). This is a very popular event, so please make your reservations early!
Also, this is a good opportunity to learn about the spirit of charity and giving a little to those in need. We will have a UNICEF table set up for this purpose. Let’s enjoy a real Christmas Charity Dinner together!

みなさんこんにちは。

先月の英語村5周年パーティーはお楽しみいただけました？600名分のお昼のバーベキューもすぐになくなり、またディーナーもビンゴゲームやキャンドルデコレーション等5周年にふさわしい大盛況のパーティーとなりました。
お越しいただいた皆様どうもありがとうございました。

さて、今月の英語村は「世界の食べ物＆料理」をテーマにアクティビティーやイベントを企画しています。
今週17日木曜日のイベントは「食博」です。　大阪心斎橋にあるタイレストランの『クンテープ』が英語村に屋台を出店、またミャンマー、タイ、ドイツからのゲストをお招きしたアクティビティーが行われます。

25日金曜日は「ホットドッグコンテスト」が行われます。今回は大食いに挑戦しない皆様も、クイズに正解すると！？！？

また英語村カフェでは期間限定の「シェパードパイ　200円」「ラザニア　300円」「ケーキ各種　250円」等この時期のみの限定フードで皆様の食欲の秋を満たします！

To those who came to our 5th year birthday celebration, we hope you enjoyed the BBQ and cocktail party.
To those who couldn’t make it, you missed a fun day…

This month at E³, we are going to have a World Food Festival, Hot Dog Eating Contest and many other food activities.

For the World Food Festival, held this Thursday (November 17th), we will welcome Shinsaibashi’s famous Thai restaurant ‘Krungtep’.
You can try tasty and spicy Thai food at a special price!!
Also, there will be special guest speakers coming from Myanmar, Thailand and Germany. Please join these activities too.

The Hot Dog Eating Contest is on November 25th (Friday). Don’t miss seeing who this year’s champion is.

The E³ café is waiting to serve you with their limited autumn and winter specials, which are Lasagna, Shepherd's pie and several kinds of cakes.

E3's big events this week

みなさんこんにちは。

今月近畿大学英語村では多くのイベントが開催され、たくさんの学生さんが英語村を訪れ楽しんでくれました。　ですがもう１つ忘れてはならない大きなイベントが今週の金曜日に開催されます！

近畿大学英語村は2006年10月30日に開村して今月で丸5年目を迎えます。これを記念しまして10月28日金曜日のお昼の12時20分から英語村前の広場でバーベキュー、また午後6時から7時半まではカクテルパーティーを開催します。
バーベキューは600名先着順になりますのでお早めにお越しください。
またカクテルパーティーは事前予約が必要ですので今週中に英語村で予約をしてチケットをお受け取りください。こちらは250名分のご用意で残り100名程ですのでお急ぎください！！

このイベントは毎年開催されるものではなく、５周年の節目のビックイベントです！！
ぜひ多くの方々に参加いただきたいと思っておりますので、今まで英語村をあまり利用しなかった学生も、ぜひご参加ください。

This month Kinki University’s E³ has been holding many events and a lot of students came to join and enjoyed them with us. But, we have our final big event this Friday that you can’t miss!!

We will commemorate E³’s 5th anniversary and to celebrate we are going to have a BBQ at lunch time and also a cocktail party in the evening.
Both events are free but there is a limit to the number of guests. For the BBQ it is 600 and for the cocktail party it is 250 but you need to reserve a ticket in advance.

We welcome anyone from Kindai, staff or students and especially those who don’t come to E³ often. Please don’t miss your chance!!

まず、
来週１７日月曜日はザ・リッツ・カールトン大阪総支配人のオリオル・モンタル氏をお招きして講演イベントを行います。ホテル業、ホスピタリティについて世界的に有名なリッツホテルの総支配人からのお話を聞ける機会はめったにありません！！

Hello everyone! We have two big events at e-cube next week.

First, on Monday next week, the 17th, we will welcome the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Osaka, Oriol Montal. Please take advantage of this rare opportunity to learn about the hotel industry and hospitality straight from the General Manager of Osaka’s world famous Ritz-Carlton.

Also, the wait is over! It is that time of the year again!! Next Friday, October 21st, we will hold our annual Halloween Costume Contest. We are currently looking for students able to participate in this event. To get a CD card prize (1st place – 30,000 yen, 2nd place 20,000 yen, 3rd place 10,000 yen), please put on a creative costume, scary and ugly is BEST; you do not have to look cute! For more detailed information about this event or the prizes, please ask one of e-cube’s lovely staff. Feel free to invite your friends and come in a group. We look forward to seeing you there!
